I mentioned on here before that Paisley was born on a special day...January 24, which also happens to be my little nephew's birthday. Little did I know that when Andrew was born a year ago on January 24, 2011 that one year later I would be giving birth to a little baby girl on that same day. I love that these two share a birthday together and that they are exactly one year apart. It was so fun seeing Andrew at different times last year because I kept picturing Paisley and how she would be at those same months/ages. When Andrew came last summer and was learning to sit up and splashing around in the pool, I thought to myself, this is what our baby will be like next summer too. It was a big help to call my sister one week before Paisley was born and ask her to remind me of all the things I should have on hand for a winter baby since Paisley was our first. She gave me great advice that was so helpful for getting ready for Paisley's arrival.
Over Spring Break, these two birthday buddies were able to meet! Chelsea was able to experience what having kids one year apart was like while she watched Paisley both days. I hope they will get to be good buddies and love having a playmate when we get together with my family.
So while we were in the hospital having this little girl....
Andrew was in Utah celebrating his very important birthday!! We sure wish we could have been there!
Blowing out the candle
It was freezing outside and I couldn't get them both to look at the same time, but here's a picture of them over Spring Break. Andrew-fourteen months and Paisley-two months. The birthday buddies meet!
Here they are in the same bouncer at the same age (I stole these off my sister's blog) from when Chelsea had Paisley. Andrew is 8 weeks old in the bouncer on the left and Paisley is 8 weeks old in the same bouncer on the right...so cute!
Here's from Chelsea's camera when she had Paisley...
Here's from her blog: "Andrew was so funny meeting Paisley, who was already here when he woke up. Such a surprised look on his face. He just stood there, holding her little feet and smiling at her.
Super cute."
And this from her blog too: "This picture was unfortunately blurry, but it was so funny to see Andrew get bugged when Paisley would touch him. He loved to watch her and play with her feet... but if she accidently touched him, or pull his ear heaven forbid, he was in total protest mode. Also in great protest when he saw the precious bottle of milk being handed to someone else, as if it were the last bottle on earth. Total melt down!"
It's going to be fun watching them grow up together and get into mischief!!
Paisley is one lucky girl because on the Rasmussen side, she had a girl cousin born four days before Andrew last year...here's Genevieve. She and Paisley are just one year and four days apart. I can't wait until they get to meet too. Plus on the Ras side baby Harlow was born three weeks after Paisley and she has another baby girl cousin coming in August! She will have lots of buddies just her age to play with at family functions!
